Darrell David Young

Darrell DavidYoung was born in Phenix City, Alabama on May 1, 1950 to Beatrice and O.J. Young. He spent his childhood in New Mexico and Texas beforeproudlyjoiningthe U.S. Marine Corps in 1969. While home on leave, he met Janet Morgan, and after a year of writing letters while stationed in Japan, they married on September 9, 1972. Darrell was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, nature and music. He was a wonderful cook, avid reader and cherished his memories of living in Japan. He was the father of four children,grandfather of ten and waspreceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife: Janet Young; children: Laura Malone & son-in-lawRusty, Brandon Young & daughter-in-law Rhiannon, Adam Young, Adrienne Sandvos & son-in-law Joel; grandchildren: Grace, Mary Ella, Elijah, Micah and Isaac Malone & Ginnessey Young & Ethan, Josiah, Finley and River Sandvos; siblings: Lynn Ross & brother-in-law Jim,Michael Young,Bryan Young,Gayle Upchurch & brother-in-law Bobby,Carol Hudson.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Northlake Baptist Church, 1501 N. Country Club Rd, Garland, TX 75040, with Pastor John Carl officiating.
