Darrell Wayne Parrish, Sr., 83, of Sachse, Texas, was born in Eden, North Carolina, on June 4, 1936, and passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at his home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George C. Parrish, Fuchsia Turner Parrish Pickett, and by his son, David Milton Parrish.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Dionne Parrish; his children: Cynthia Parrish Miller, sons, Darrell W. Parrish, Jr., Daniel G. Parrish, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren as well as 4 step-children, Jennifer Robinson, Brenna Doucette, Michael Cassini, Joseph Cassini; and 3 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Charles Smith Funeral Home, 2925 Fifth Street, Sachse, Texas. Visitation will follow, thereafter, inside. Interment will occur in the cemetery behind the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, any contributions to St. Jude Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
