Darlene Louise Jennings, 70, of Princeton, Texas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 4th, 2019, in Richardson Texas. Darlene was born on January 7th, 1949 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Thelma McGinnis and Daniel Pahel.

She married William Earl Jennings on August 10th, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio. They moved to Richardson, Texas in 1976, then to Princeton, Texas in 1978 where they raised their family. She was a devout member of First United Methodist Church of Princeton where she spent countless hours volunteering. She was an active member of the United Methodist Women's group.

Darlene is survived by her sister Vicki Steinbeiser of Boardman, Ohio, her son Michael Jennings and his wife Annette of Leonard, Texas granddaughters Annabel Lee Jennings and her girlfriend Kerry Troy of Norfolk, Virginia., Alesha Brandon of Lewisville, Texas, Lindsay Willard of Dallas, Texas and Kristy Kubiak and her wife Lexi of Jacksonville, Florida, grandsons Jarad Newman, Andrew Jennings and his girlfriend Mackenzie Kerr, Colby Jennings and his fiancé Rebecca Chase, Jonathan Jennings, and Nicholas Jennings all of McKinney, Texas, great grandchildren Chloe Jennings, Emalyn Jennings, and Ryder Kubiak. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Darlene's extended family by choice consists of daughters Monica Diaz and her husband Rafael, Angie Preston and her husband Mike, Susan Pollard and her husband Stoney granddaughters Miranda Preston and her boyfriend Thomas Trejo, Tiffany Garcia and her husband Justin, Alexx Preston and her boyfriend Jose Ramirez, Amber Strickland and her husband Aaron, Mandi Mondragon and her husband Alexis, and Piper Callaway, grandsons Jeremy Diaz, Jesse Diaz, and Cody Morrow , great grandchildren Sofia Trejo, Salvador Trejo, Jayden Garcia, Jasmine Garcia, Jalene Garcia, Juliana Garcia, Ethan Ramirez, Josiah Ramirez, Alberto Ramirez, Langston Mondragon, and Lennox Mondragon all of Princeton.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband William E. Jennings (Bill), her son William T. Jennings (Billy), her daughter-in-law Ronda Jennings, her mother Thelma Steinbeiser, her father Daniel Pahel, her sister Marlene Schaffer and her brothers Stevie Steinbeiser, Kenny Steinbeiser, Bobby Steinbeiser, David Pahel, and Daniel Pahel.

The family will receive visitors at a visitation on April 13th, 2019 at Charles Smith & Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas, from 10 a.m. to noon. The funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Jason McConnell officiating.
