Danny Ray Dearman

Danny Ray Dearman born September 20, 1947 in Meridian, Mississippi to Ernestine and Oscar Leo Dearman Jr. died December 5, 2015. Danny served in the US Army during the Vietnam War being awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. After 10 years in the Army, he left with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon leaving the Army, he worked for Southern Pipe for 8 years. After which, he worked in the irrigation field for over 20 years in Collin County. Later in life, Danny was very active in the American Legion serving as Commander and Financial Officer at the McKinney Post. He is survived by his wife Paula Dearman and grandson Donavon Honea of McKinney; son, Jimmie and wife, Barbara Dearman of Plano; daughter, Cindy, husband Jeff Denham, and grandchildren Ainsley and Kelton of Howe, brothers: Larry Dearman and wife, Gale; Ricky Dearman and wife, Jeannie; and Ernie Dearman all of Meridian, Mississippi; ex-wife Julie Dearman of Plano, along with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sherry Dearman. Services will be held December 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in McKinney.
