Daniel Charles Young 37, born to Charles Luther Young and Sherry McAfee on September 20, 1974 in Wichita Falls, Texas, left this earth on July 29, 2012 to be reunited with his parents, Treva Morgan (mother), Ma, Melba King, Dear Friends Dana Wilson and Matthew Reardon.

Daniel Graduated from Petrolia High School in Petrolia, Texas, in 1994 where he played both football and basketball with his favorite number 42 on his jerseys. He was nicknamed "Bird" by his basketball teammates because one time he shot the ball and said "bird for three" (referring to basketball legend Larry Bird) and the nickname stuck with him. Daniel Loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks.

He leaves behind many who loved him, his wife, Christina Young, stepson, Anthony Navarro, stepdaughter, Alyssa Navarro; brothers, Terri McLaughlin and wife Tina, Bruce McAfee and wife Renee, Brian Burton and wife Ruby, Brad Burton and wife Shonda; stepbrothers, David Silas, Steve Silas, and Jamison Barber; sisters Tamara Penny, Tina Stivers and husband Randy; stepsister, Angela Hudachek and partner Carla Polkinhorn; uncles, James McAfee and wife Betty, Mike McAfee; aunt Teri Fullmer and husband Boyd and many nieces, nephews, cousins and all his Wichita Falls friends who loved him dearly.

He will be greatly missed. Memorial Service will be August 11, 2012 at 7:30 at Hampton Inn Suites 1700 Rodeo Dr. Mesquite, Texas 75149 (972) 682-3300. Praise and Worship In his honor immediate to follow.
