Danny was raised in Houston, Texas. He played football and baseball at Clear Lake High School. He graduated in 1997 from Stephen F. Austin University and was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity.
Danny was a 2001 graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston Texas as a physician assistant. Danny married Erin Burns on October 9, 2002 and moved to Dallas. Danny worked in family practice medicine his entire career in Dallas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sachse, Texas.
Danny is preceded in death by his son, Tyler Daniel Ferguson. He is survived by his wife, Erin Ferguson; two daughters, Mia Denise Ferguson and Tori Lynn Ferguson; parents, Darrell and Sharon Ferguson; parents in-law, Bill and Connie Burns; sister, Debbie Aduddell and husband, Troy; brother, David Ferguson and wife, Laura and brother, Eric Ferguson; grandparents, Wanda Swanson, Jim Swanson and Wanda Burns; seven nieces and five nephews.
Viewing will be 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. and Visitation 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011.
Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel - Sachse. Dr. Anna Houseman-Butler officiating. Interment to follow in Sachse Cemetery.
Memorial donations made be made to the Texas College Fund for his daughters. Call the funeral home for directions for the donations.
