Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Garrit Van Assen; son, Kenneth Van Assen; and her parents, Antonio and Lenora Uribe Aleman.
She is survived by two sons, Bob Van Assen and Paul Van Assen and his wife, Rebecca; three daughters, Anna Monges and her husband, Carlos, Eleanor Beebe and her husband, Rick and Linda Mack and her husband, Alan; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jose Aleman and his wife, Delia and Alex Aleman; sister, Jenny Beltran; sister in-law, Lucy Aleman; and numerous other family members.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. Reverend Andrew Semler officiating.
