Cynthia Ann Hamm

May 3, 1958 — September 15, 2017

On Friday, September 15, 2017, Cynthia Ann Hamm, wife, mother, nana, daughter, and sister, passed away suddenly at the age of 59. Her last days were at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX. on hospice care due to Lung Cancer. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side and their loving arms surrounding her.

Cindy will be forever remembered by her husband, Thomas Hamm Royse City, TX; son and daughter, David Hamm and wife Jessica Hamm of Royse City, Tx and Lacey Walker of Royse City, TX; five precious grandchildren, Brenden Hansen, Dylan Hamm, Hailey Hamm, Makenzie Walker, and Johanna Leigh; brother, Ricky Johnson and wife Melysa Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tommie Johnson in 1974 and her mother JoAnn Hall in 2001 as well as Nanny Johnson in 1996.

She was born in Plano, Texas on May 3, 1958. Cynthia was the daughter of JoAnn and Tommie Johnson from Plano, TX. She had one younger brother; Ricky Johnson of Alba, TX. As a child living in Plano, TX she loved to go skating every Friday night basically the entire weekend at Thunderbird Roller Rink and always had a blast with her closest friend. If they could not go roller skating something was really wrong, like staying out to late past their curfew and getting grounded. She was heartbroken when she could not go. She had many great memories of her childhood in Plano, TX.

Cindy loved her family and her babies. Family was her entire world and every minute spent together was a blessing to her. She met her husband Thomas Hamm at Debonair Dance Hall on February 15, 1976. They were married on March 24, 1976 and married for 41 years. Cindy worked for Nexion Health, as the Director of Field Human Resources. Cindy will be deeply missed by her family and friends and co-workers. A precious one from us has gone. A voice we loved is stilled. Cindy touched many lives and will forever be missed. Please do not dwell on her passing but celebrate her life and remember the strong independent women she was. We love you always and forever rest in peace.
