Cynthia 'Cindy' Dawn Daly, 56, passed away September 22, 2014 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born May 25th, 1958 in Spearman, Texas to James and Gayle Morris.
Cindy was a much loved social activist, friend, Nana, mother and wife. Cindy loved to cook Cajun cuisine and established her family's holiday tradition by cooking her famous seafood gumbo every Christmas. Cindy was a great animal lover who rescued and adopted many pets throughout her life. She often spoke fondly of her memories of playing in the band at East Ascension High School. Cindy loved to travel and lived all across the United States in her lifetime. Her family and a Bachelor's of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Arlington were a few of Cindy's many proud accomplishments. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor and her vibrant spirit.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, James Morris and her beloved grandmother, Ruth Morris. She is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years, Greig Daly; her son, Hollan Morris Babin; her daughter, Allyn Daly; two grandsons, Hollan 'James' and Seth Morris Babin; her two brothers, Billy and David Morris; niece, Nicole Morris Musso; and other family members.

Sunday September 28, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at Eastgate Funeral Home Chapel 1910 Eastgate Drive Garland, TX 75041.
