Cynthia Jo Bray

Cynthia Jo Bray transitioned peacefully in her sleep, April 19th, 2022, in her home in Wylie, Texas. She was born on March 25th, 1956, to her parents Gary and Dorothy Olson. She was married to her former husband Brad Johnson. They had two children, Elyse Johnson and Douglas Johnson. Later, she remarried to William Bray of Wylie, Texas, for a brief time until he passed away unexpectedly.

She is survived by her daughter, Elyse Johnson, her son Douglas Johnson, and her brother Michael Olson. She was blessed to have had four grandchildren, Faith Rainey, Hope Rainey, Ricky Rainey, and Landon Johnson.

She worked at TLC, as a Daycare instructor. She then put work aside and helped in raising three of her grandchildren. She started working as a substitute teacher within the Wylie ISD school district while going to Colin College for her Associates Degree in Child Development, later to be a full-time paraprofessional at Akin Elementary.

She was known by many names, including Cin, Cindy, mom, sister, grandma, Ms. Bray and many more. She loved watching the NASCAR race, loved cats and horses. She loved being there for her family and watching "her shows". She lit up every room she was in by her humor and compassion. She surely will be missed and remembered by many.
