Cynthia is survived by her husband, Greg Bailey of Rockwall, TX; children, Misty Dawn Ford, Jennifer and Chad Brown of San Marcos, TX, Ashley and Tim Bowser of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren Zoe, Kya, Shina, Kole, Lindsey, Aston, Donovan, Kaitlynn, Lindsy, Trinity, Brenden, and Chloe. Brother in law and sister in law Hugh and Julie Bailey also Tim Bailey. She also left behind many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Franklin Grigsby and Lillian Pope-Grigsby; child Thomas Franklin Ford.Cynthia was born on May 14th, 1956 in Richmond, CA to Thomas and Lillian. She married Greg in 1996, but they had been together since 1986. She spent time living in California and Arizona before making Texas her lifelong home. After moving to Mart, TX, Cynthia began working for Reliable Life Insurance Company as an insurance agent. She was awarded with Agent of the Month Award and Agent of the Month for Division B. She had a passion to help people and truly loved all those she assisted while working in the insurance field. Her children remember her as a loving, supportive, and gentle mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She loved being a Nana and spent many days surrounded by her grandchildren. She loved so deeply and fully that her family will forever have that surrounding them. Cynthia was a passionate, loving, and generous woman. She had a smile that could light up an entire room. All those who met her would easily fall in love. She had an amazing sense of humor that she instilled in each of her children.
Visitation is 12pm to 4 pm with service beginning at 4pm. on Thursday, August 4th at Charles Smith Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street Sachse, TX 75078 Pastor Kevin Moore will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cynthia's life. The family would like to thank Emily, Paula, and Kevin from VNA for their continued love, care, and support that not only Cynthia needed but also the family. They are the true heroes
