Crystal Ann Worthington (Grimes) passed away peacefully on September 30, 2018
at the age of 67. Born on March 14, 1951 in Canal Fulton Ohio, Crystal later moved
to Dallas Texas. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield after 20 years, where she
met many of her close friends. Crystal's greatest joy was her son Jon Grimes
Worthington who passed away in 2012. She is survived by her father Cramer
Grimes, brother William Grimes, half siblings Monica, Andrew, Sherwin and Sandy,
adopted daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren, Brooke, Ben, Cameron and Brea
Newcomb.
This sweet soul led a humble, giving, and selfless life. She was passionate about
animals, philanthropy and politics. She was the purest example of the widow
mentioned in Luke 21 who "out of her poverty gave all she had to live on."
The celebration of Crystal's life will be held on Tuesday, October 30 at 4pm at
Eastgate Funeral Home 1910 Eastgate Dr., Garland Texas 75041 followed by dinner
at Pappadeaux's restaurant 725 S. Central Expressway.
