Cora Naomi Davis

Davis, Cora Naomi (Poindexter), 92 died at home on January 7, 2022. She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law: Chandra and Mark Anderson, Lisa and Larry McNair, and Karen and Fred Burlbaw, three grandchildren: Lindey Sappington and husband Jessie, Lincoln McNair and Shane Burlbaw; four great-grand-children, Sydnee, Benjamin, Ethan, and Landon Sappington; sister Barbara Kirk, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Hubert Davis, and 3 brothers and 6 sisters.

She was a lady of caring and humor. She always had a smile, and was always ready to listen when anyone needed to talk. Her advice was measured and valuable. She worked as a waitress in her youth, had her own bookkeeping business, and retired from Republic Financial Services as a secretary/receptionist.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 6550 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, TX 75228 on Monday, February 14, 2022 11:00 a.m. She was deeply loved by her family, and will be greatly missed.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Eastminster Presbyterian Church – her beloved church home.
