Connie Faye Bjelke

August 5, 1941 — October 24, 2019

Connie Faye (Simmons) (Maupin) Bjelke was called home to be with our Lord on October 24th, 2019. She was surrounded by her sons and her husband.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents Floyd Wilbur Simmons and Juanita Marie Risner Simmons of Durant Oklahoma; her brother John Arlen Simmons; her sister Ruby Holley Simmons; her niece Dovie Jean Williams; and her two granddaughters, Lindy Ann Maupin and Melissa Ann Maupin.

She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Grady Bjelke of Garland, Tx,; her 3 sons Ken Maupin and his wife Laurel Maupin of Castle Rock, Colorado; Chip and his wife Jan Maupin of Campbell, Texas; and Eddy and his wife Kim Maupin of Royse City, Texas.

Grand children include Joshua and his wife Jamie Maupin of Goldbar, Washington St; Nicole and her husband Justin Matchkus of Greenville, Texas; and Kaylee and Makenna Maupin of Castle Rock, Colorado.

Great Grandchildren include Cason and Leah Cantrell of Forney, Texas; Wittly Carpenter of Greenville, Texas; Nolan and Madeline Maupin of (Goldbar, Washington St); her many wonderful Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends; and her Best Friend for Life, Sue Wilson.

Connie was born on August 5th, 1941 in Bokchita, Oklahoma at her Grandfather Simmons house. She attended school in Bokchita and married Benny L. Maupin from 1957 to 1989. They moved to Garland and raised their family. Connie moved to San Diego, California for a few years where she met Bob Bjelke. They married on November 11, 1991 in Wylie, Texas and have resided in Garland, Texas.

Connie was a homemaker and mother attending and participating in PTA, Cub Scouts and Little League. Connie worked for a few companies during her career and was known as a hard worker and a dependable person. She was an experienced and talented seamstress, gardener and landscaper of their homes, she loved writing poetry, painting, camping, travelling, entertaining and spending time with her children, grand children and great grand children. She loved her friends and spending time with them and was always there if anyone needed help whether they asked for it or not. She was an Inspiration to all who met her.

There is no greater love than that of a Mother for her Child.
