Cody Lane Stanek

Cody Lane Stanek, 22, of Princeton, Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Dallas, Texas on February 10, 2000, to Wendy Weinman- Gumpert. Cody was a wonderful father to his daughter, Kaylyn Lee Grace Stanek and his son, Braylon Lane Stanek. He was an amazing son, brother, and friend to all. He spoke his heart with no regrets and loved fiercely. Cody enjoyed working on vehicles, spending time with friends and family, fishing, and working as a volunteer fire fighter.

He is survived by his children, Kaylynn and Braylon of Princeton, Texas; his mother, Wendy and his step father, Mark Gumpert of Princeton, Texas; his bonus mom, Michelle Boone of Nashville, Arkansas; his siblings, Morgan Scott of Texarkana, Texas, Kymberly Stanek of Nashville, Arkansas, Colton Gumpert, Kennedy Gumpert, Cash Gumpert, Kason Gumpert, Karlie Gumpert, and Zyanna Gumpert, all of Princeton, Texas; his grandparents, Charles Weinman, Patricia Weinman, De B. Brooks-Weinman; and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations in Cody's name in care of his mother. All donations will go towards childhood cancer research.
