Cloyd Forsyth Woolley

Cloyd Forsyth Woolley, Jr., 91, recently of McKinney, Texas, passed over to his heavenly home on April 9, 2013. He was born on May 19, 1921 in Wichita, Kansas.
Cloyd is survived by his daughter, Barbara Clare Rayle and her husband, Michael E. Rayle; two grandchildren, Timothy Hengxin Rayle and Esther Hengyi Rayle; his brother, Joseph Tarbet Woolley, and ten nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence Tarbet Woolley and Cloyd Forsyth Woolley, Sr.; his wife of 52 years, Mary Alice Nutter Woolley; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard Park Woolley and Jeanne Macy Woolley; and his sister-in-law, Marnette Reeder Woolley.
Raised in Denver, Colorado, Cloyd enlisted in the Army shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor and served in France and England during World War II. Following the war, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Colorado, and he later earned a master of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Southern California. He married Mary Alice Nutter on May 7, 1960 in Littleton, Colorado. They moved to Southern California shortly thereafter, where they were longtime members of the First Presbyterian Church of Granada Hills. Upon retirement, they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and enjoyed many happy years there before moving to Texas in 2007 to be nearer to family. Considerate, gentle, kind and brilliant, Cloyd was loved and admired by many. He will be sorely missed.
The inurnment will be at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on April 17, 2013 at 10:15 am. In lieu of flowers, and at Cloyd's request, the family requests that donations be made to:
