Clayton David Thompson of Princeton, TX passed away on August 5, 2022.
He is survived by his beloved mother Lori Andrews and her partner Darryl Toombs, his Grandmother Darla Plotts, his Aunt Michelle Chambers, sister Natalie Larkins, friends Austin Spooner and Preston Larson, and too many more friends to mention as well as cousins and other extended family.
Clayton is preceded in death by his Grandfather David Plotts, Great Grandmother Alice Covell, Great Grandfather Kenny Covell, Uncle Shawn Plotts, Great Grandmother Pearl Plotts, Great Grandfather Walter Plotts, Grandparents Clayton and Vivian Eldridge.
Clayton was an old soul from the day he was born to the song "Bad to the Bone". He loved music of all genres from opera to rap, however he would roll his eyes every time I played country music and change the station.
My son Clayton also loved the written word. He would go through periods of refusing to use cell phones and insisted on letter, in cursive. One of his most treasured gifts was an old travel writing desk with quills, ink and of course wax seals. He also loved vocabulary and would try to stump his mother with a new word daily. However most people couldn't understand the words coming out of his mouth. Clayton also loved libraries and had libraries cards from every place he has ever lived or visited!
Clayton excelled at almost everything he attempted. His interests were wide and varied. His latest passion was panning for gold. Let me tell you he panned! The man spent 8hrs in the Arizona sun digging dirt that he later panned. He freely lived his dreams and his life his way.
I love you son!
