Clark Allen Findley Jr passed away on April 6, 2025 in the wee hours, after a long illness and just reaching his 69th birthday. He was a lifelong Texan who never strayed far from his roots nor wanted to. Clark was a loving son, brother, father, and uncle who was cherished by all. He was truly a gifted pianist, who played all genres by ear without reading any music until later in his life. He played with bands such as Madhouse and Salty Dog along with countless other artists and in venues like Mother Blues, my mother’s Highland Park home, and the HP Methodist church! He let his fingers do the walking whether he was on grand piano’s, Organs, and finally those convenient keyboards in his room. He loved his animals and we all know Petunia sorely misses him. Those memories and laughs will ever be with us on this love of Krispy Cremes, Mac and Cheese and those last-minute Door Dashes.
A saying shared would say remember when tomorrow starts without me, think we are apart, for every time you think of me, I am right there in your heart. That would be Clark along with those infamous orbs.
He is survived in death by his sister, Sally Belle Findley Blair and her husband David Brian Blair, his daughter Jessica Findley, adopted daughter Shannon Collins, his nephew, Kirk Allen Knittle, whom he considered as his son and best friend, nieces Leslie Marie Taylor and her husband Montera Taylor, Stephanie Belle Ballou, grandchildren Montera Jr, A’vaya, A’Rhiya and A’ Mari Taylor along with countless extended band family.
He is preceded in death by parents, Clark and Mary Belle Findley, grandmother Sally B Elliott along with many ancestors in McKinney.
I am so appreciative for the short time he was in hospice, many Dr’s and the help and care he received from my family. Clark and I were both humbled by the overwhelming support. In lieu of flowers, if you so choose, he would have wanted you to give to your local humane Society.
