Clara Bell Gallion

Clara Bell Gallion, age 92 of Murphy, TX, passed away on November 9, 2016 in Garland, TX. She was born on July 22, 1924 in Spindale, NC to Lee Pierson and Lilly Pearl (Wise) Hodge. Clara married Charles Warren Gallion, Sr. on November 22, 1944 in York, SC. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.Clara enjoyed studying the Bible,sewing, jigsaw puzzles, and caring for her family, both young and old. She had an adventurous spirit, and she loved to travel. Clara was easy to love, as she befriended people with no trouble at all. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends.Clara is survived by her husband of 71 years, Charles Warren Gallion, Sr.; son, C. Warren Gallion, Jr. and wife, Martha; grandchildren, Luke Robertson Gallion and wife, Lindsey and Koleta Hatfield and husband, Andy; great grandchildren, Abby, Nathan, Audrey and Haley Hatfield and Piper Gallion; sister, Jewel Keener. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Lois Dellinger and Doris Owens, and brother, Bud Hodge.Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Friday, November 11, 2016 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Sachse. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Chapel in Sachse. Interment will be held at a later date at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
