Christine Driggers

Violet “Christine” Driggers, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, August 31st, 2024 at the age of 89. She was born May 25th, 1935 in Hobart, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Thursday, September 5th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Charles W. Smith Funeral home in Sachse, Texas. Memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Murphy on Saturday, September 14th at 11:00 am. 

Christine is preceded in death by her father, Claud Suttle who gave his life while defending our country in World War II; her mother Louise Suttle; her sister, Lucille; infant brother, Charles; and her oldest son, Roy. She is survived by her husband, Joe, the love of her life; their son Ray and his wife Toni of Murphy, Texas; granddaughter, Britni and her husband Justin of Amarillo, Texas; and many beloved nieces and nephews. 

Throughout her life, Christine loved reading and a good classic movie. She enjoyed many crafts, such as cross-stitch, crewel, quilting, crochet, painting and needle point. Her kind and easy-going spirit was balanced by her love of bright colors.
