Chase O’Neal Duckworth, age 29 of Rowlett, TX, passed away on May 24, 2017 in Dallas, TX. He was born on February 16, 1988 in Dallas TX to Terry Lee and Vicki Lynn (Smith) Duckworth. Chase was very passionate about his philosophies, his theories, skating, skateboarding, gaming, and playing pool. Although he tore his ACL twice, he still managed to mentor and train younger skaters. Chase had vision problems, and still found a way to be an amazing skateboarder and beating him at gaming was near impossible. He was #1 on the planet in Gears of War 3 “Ranked Match”. While playing pool, it wasn’t uncommon to see him be involved in three games at one time and still leave his games between shots to teach someone else at another table. Chase was a friend to everyone he met, and social status meant nothing to him. He once gave a homeless man the Vans off his feet, because the man didn’t have any shoes, and Chase said he could always get more. Although Chase is physically not with us, he will never be forgotten by his family and friends. He left an imprint on this planet from the love he shared through his theories and advice, that will never be erased.Chase is survived by his fur baby, Jibbs; mother, Vicki Childre; sisters, Chelsi Duckworth and Lexi Ingram; two nieces, Cadence and Callie Duckworth; grandparents, Gary and Brenda Smith; aunts, Debra Drain and Uncle Reggie, Tanya Wagner and husband, Jim, and Stacy Davlin and husband, Tommy; his Uncle Ronnie Bradley; godparents, Tami and Roger Davies. He was preceded in death by his nanny, Joyce Duckworth, his papa, Jess Duckworth, and his father, Terry Lee Duckworth.A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Charles W. Smith & Sons Chapel in Sachse. Immediately following the service, there will be a police-escorted procession to Herfurth Park, 4601 Centennial Dr., Rowlett, TX 75088 for a Memorial Skate Session. Please bring your skate boards and skate in remembrance of Chase. We know that he and his ideas will never be replaced, but will forever be remembered in our hearts every time we skate, shoot pool, play Gears, and learn something new. We all love him and thank him for what he did for us. If you would like, you may make donations to the Go Fund Me account that has been set up in Chase's name to help with funeral expenses.
