Charles Brandon Wilson

July 14, 1962 — February 19, 2024

Royse City

Charles Brandon Wilson, 61, of Royse City, Texas, ascended the stairway to heaven on February 19, 2024.

Charles was born to McKenzie Lee (Mack) Wilson and Barbara Sue Langston on July 14, 1962, in McKinney, Texas.  Although Charles was his given birth name, most family and friends knew him as Brandon.   Brandon grew up in Garland, Texas and graduated from North Garland High School in 1981 where he enjoyed being a part of the Raider Band.

After graduating, Brandon chose to follow in the footsteps of his great grandfather (Clarence (Butch) S. Cave) who was a butcher, and his grandfather (McKenzy Jackson) who was a meat cutter, to learn their trades.  He took much pride in this skill, and it led him to his esteemed career in the food service industry.  Brandon wore many hats throughout his career from Lead Butcher, Center of the Plate Specialist, District Manager, and many others.  One of his many honored acknowledgements while working at the Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas was receiving a Certificate of Appreciation from the White House Communications Agency for his outstanding manner in which he provided support to the President of the United States during his visit in July 2003.

In addition to his profession, Brandon found enjoyment, comfort, and peace in many outdoor activities and hobbies.  His love for hunting led to his part ownership of Crosshairs Ranch in Graham, Texas which he always referred to as his “home away from home”.  He also enjoyed umpiring girls’ softball, dancing, fishing, motorcycle riding, scuba diving, and camping just to name a few.  Brandon was a true “boy scout” through and through.

Brandon married Debbie Lynn Coomer and welcomed into this world his two beautiful daughters, Leigh Jordan Wilson, and Chelsie Marie (Wilson) Pierantozzi.

In 2011, Brandon met Yvonne McDonald in Plano, Texas and remarried on December 31, 2014.  At this time, Brandon also embraced two additional daughters, Amber Raquel (Timmons) Yates and Ashlee Renae Timmons.  They were married 10 years this year.  During their journey, Brandon taught Yvonne how to enjoy life to its fullest and show love, compassion, and friendship.

Brandon is survived by his wife, Yvonne, daughters Leigh Jordan Wilson, Amber Raquel (Timmons) Yates and husband Preston Yates, Chelsie Marie (Wilson) Pierantozzi and husband Ryan Pierantozzi,  Ashlee Renae Timmons, mother, Barbara Sue Wilson, brother McKinzie Lynn Wilson, and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by McKenzie Lee (Mack) Wilson (father), Laura Jane Wilson (sister), Kenneth Ray Wilson (infant brother), McKenzy Jackson Wilson, Tommie Valley (Lee) Wilson, D’etta Marie (Cave) Wardlow, and Milford Fred Langston (grandparents).

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm.

His ashes will be buried in the Wilson Cemetery in Aubrey, Texas.
