Charles Ardis Anderson

Charles Ardis Anderson Sr. died in his sleep early Saturday, August 11, 2018 from natural, unexpected complications.

Charles was born October 25, 1941 in Dallas County. He was a lifelong area resident. Through the years he worked many jobs to support his family. He was a business owner, master plumber and licensed HVAC contractor. He was a Scout Master of Troop 100 in Garland TX for many years. His greatest accomplishment was his love and dedication for his family. In his retirement he helped organize the Park Lake Partners improving the neighborhood in which he lived. He spent most days involved in local clubs; Sachse Citizen Police Academy, Parks and Recreations, the Sachse Amateur Radio Association and CERT.

He is survived by his wife Carrol June Anderson, daughters Charla Whittington, her husband Keith of Bokchito OK, Chelly Thompson, her husband Danny of Vancleave MS, son Charles A Anderson Jr., his honey Patricia of Edgewood TX, his five grandchildren Kyle Whittington & his wife Julia, Corey Morgan & his wife Krista, Kasey Willmon & her husband Jacob, Jakob Thompson, Jarret Thompson, and three great grandchildren Kinion Whittington II, Adelaide Whittington and Piper Willmon, brother Dean Anderson and his wife Harriet, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar Ardis Anderson, Mary Bell Anderson, and grandson Kinion Whittington.

Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Homes 2925 Fifth St. Sachse, Texas 75048.
