Carrel D. Burch

Carrel was born on June 22, 1948 in Freer, Texas. Shortly after, he and his twin brother were born, the family moved to the Rio Grande Valley where they lived until they moved to Dallas, Texas in 1966.

Carrel met his true love, Ruby, in 1967 at Oak Cliff Assembly of God Church in Dallas. They married in 1969 and moved back to the valley. In 1972, after the birth of their second child, Carrel and Ruby moved to Plano, Texas where he worked as a barber. Carrel and Ruby have three children and two grandchildren.

He went to work at Executive Hair Designers opened by his twin brother Harrel in 1974. He went on to own Executive Hair Designers, where he worked until he retired in August of 2013. Carrel worked as a barber for 47 years.

Carrel spent his entire life devoted to his family and his faith in God. He was a longtime, faithful member of Victory Church in Parker, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Pearl Hammit Burch; three sisters, Shirley Plant, Freida Wilson and Barbara Ann Burch; and two brothers, Jerry Burch and Dwayne Burch.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruby Burch; two daughters, D'Ann McConnell and her husband, Curtis and Christi Sims and her husband, Danny; son, Jason Burch and his wife, Laura; two grandchildren, Alex McConnell and Chandler Burch; three sisters, Molly Wood and her husband, Boyd, Nancy Burnside and her husband, Denny and Sharla Palmer; two brothers, his twin, Harrel B Burch and his wife, Hermelinda and John Burch and his wife, Kim; sister in-law, Linda Burch; brother in-law, Gene Wilson; and nieces, nephews and other family members.
