Carolyn Jane Dopson Faust was born on April 4, 1940 to Roy Dopson and Vivian Harmonson Dopson of Ropesville, Tx. Carolyn Graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock, TX and then went on to complete her education with a Masters degree in education from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. She taught school in Ropesville, TX, Paris, TX, and Dallas, Tx.
Carolyn was married to Larry R. Chaney from 1962 to 1989. She married Sam E. Leverette III, who preceded her in death, in 1991. Together she and Sammy owned Heritage Funeral Home on Gaston Avenue in Dallas. Carolyn married Carl Faust, Jr. on June 13, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Sammy; son Brandan Todd; and two nieces; Danette and Kristi.
She is survived by her husband, C.P. Faust, Jr.; one daughter, Debra Chaney and wife Jeri of Farmersville, TX; brother Bob Dopson and wife Kay of Lubbock, TX; niece Janna Henry and husband Mickey of Shallowater, TX; three great-nieces, and one great-nephew.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Carolyn's name to the Silver Serenaders Choir or Bethany Christian Church, 6280 Oram St. Dallas, TX. 75214.
