Carol A Simmons

Carol Ann Badeaux Simmons, 82, of McKinney, Texas passed away Friday, December 8, 2023.  Carol was born December 23, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas.  She was the adopted only child of Francis and Agatha Badeaux.  Carol attended Catholic school where she met her future spouse in second grade at St. Mary's Elementary.  She married John Howard Simmons on October 15, 1960 and started their family.  They moved to Wylie, Texas in 1978 and after raising their children, Carol worked for Wylie Independent School District for over 20 years as an attendance clerk and librarian.  She was a wonderful cook and used that skill to make every family event a special occasion.  Just like her mother, Carol was an excellent seamstress and quite often made clothes for the kids for Easter, Christmas, prom, and weddings.  Carol's life revolved around her family and her Catholic faith.

 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her husband, John, of 63 years and by their 7 children:  John Simmons and wife Celeste of Many, Louisiana; Lisa Simmons of Little Elm, Texas; Terry Frech and husband Devek of Wichita Falls, Texas; Matt Simmons and wife Angie of Frisco, Texas; Audra Allen and husband Jerry of Wylie, Texas; Kelly Brink and husband Bill of Roundrock, Texas; Andrew Simmons and wife Jeralyn of Prosper, Texas; along with 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

 

The visitation and rosary service for Carol will be at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

 

The funeral Mass for Carol will be at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 404 N. Ballard Avenue, Wylie, Texas.  Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
