Carol Cooley Seeley Rowe, 85, of Dallas, Texas passed on peacefully December 30, 2013 surrounded by family.
Born April 19, 1928 in Roundup, Montana, Carol spent her childhood on the Cooley Ranch where she made many cherished memories. After graduating Musselshell School in 1946, she attended the University of Montana. Carol married Calvin Seeley in 1948. Together they made their home in Billings and raised 4 children. After Calvin's untimely death, Carol married Melvin Rowe, a widower with 3 children. They had 2 children and raised their blended family in Dallas, Texas.
She returned to work after Melvin's death and enjoyed many years as an administrative assistant until her retirement in 2006. Carol was a proud and graceful person with a quick wit who enjoyed geography, music and reading. She was a selfless, giving mother who always put her family first.
Carol is preceded in death by her husbands, siblings John Cooley and Earlene Davis, son Darryl Seeley, and stepson Larry Rowe. She is survived by her son Alan; daughters Lea, Joni, Coral and Peggy; step daughters Sheila and Sandra; 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and sisters in law Mary Cooley and Evelyn Forstrom. Carol's amazing strength was an inspiration to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held 12:30 pm Friday, January 3, 2014 at Restland Memorial Park in the Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Friends of Musselshell School, Inc. P.O. Box 14, Musselshell, MT 59059.
