Carol Hatheway, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on January 9, 1941, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Marie and Wilbert Beavers. She left this world surrounded by her loving family, having filled her life with warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. Carol shared a beautiful 60 years of marriage with her soulmate, Richard Hatheway, celebrating a bond that was an inspiration to all.

As an extraordinary mother to Christine and spouse, Christopher, Rick and spouse, Max, and Debbie and spouse, Robert, Carol’s heart knew no bounds. She poured her love into every moment spent with her five cherished grandchildren—Tori, Alyssa, Nikki, Mia, Tricia ,Clayton and spouse Kayleigh—and her great-grandchild, Ozzy. Her passion for family was the cornerstone of her life, and her home was always a haven of joy and creativity.

Carol's kindness extended beyond her family. She volunteered with the church, bringing communion to homebound church members and sharing her artistic talents with the elderly. Her faith community at Sacred Heart in Rowlett was a source of strength and connection for her.

A former bank teller, Carol was not only dedicated to her work but also pursued her passion for creativity by studying interior design. Her love for sewing, arts and crafts, brought beauty into her home and into the lives of those she loved. Known for her quick wit and playful sense of humor, Carol had a remarkable ability to light up any room and bring smiles to the faces around her.

Family vacations were cherished times filled with laughter, adventure, and lasting memories. Carol believed in the importance of helping others, a lesson she instilled in her family and lived by every day. One of her proudest accomplishments was graduating with her associate’s degree from the University of Akron, a testament to her dedication and perseverance.

Carol’s legacy of love, creativity, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. A celebration of her beautiful life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Rowlett at 11:00 am., where family and friends can gather to share stories and honor her memory. Family and friends can gather to remember Carol at 10:00 am.
