Carl Nash Peavy; loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, was born on November 25, 1941 in Houston, TX and passed away May 24, 2020 in Garland, TX after a courageous 16 year battle with Parkinson's disease.
Carl was a lifelong resident of Garland and graduated from Garland High School in 1960. He received his degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1965. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Garland and spent his career in food industry sales and the insurance business. He also served in the National Guard. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf as long as his health permitted. He especially delighted in watching his grandchildren participate in their various sports endeavors in his later years.
Carl is survived by his wife, Linda Douglas Peavy ; son, Gregory Douglas Peavy and wife Britton Peavy; son, Christopher Scott Peavy and wife Maria Paula Carrillo; sister; Judy Peavy Dawson and husband Robert (Bob); 4 beloved grandchildren; Sam, Alex, Victoria and Sophia; 3 nephews; Richard and Bill Alexander and Craig Douglas; aunt, Doris Peavy Hubbard; and 3 cousins.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; William E. (Bill) Peavy, Jr. and Carlene C. Peavy; grandparents, W.E (Bill) Peavy, Sr and Gladys Nash Peavy, and Carl G. Cromwell and Luella L. Cromwell; father-in-law and mother-in-law; Art and Lou Ella Douglas; brother-in-law Art C. Douglas lll; and uncle; George Hubbard.
Private family graveside burial with Memorial Celebration of Life to be held at a future date.
