Carl Daniel McKeever

Carl Daniel McKeever, age 91 of Sachse, TX, passed away May 6, 2016 in Dallas, TX. He was born on January 20, 1925 in Pineville, LA to Daniel and Mary Eola (Brown) McKeever. Carl served in the U.S. Army and after his service, he married Velma Ann Brummett on December 28, 1950 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Roosevelt, UT. He worked as a geophysicist for 37 years.Carl is survived by his wife of 65 years, Velma Ann McKeever; son, Dan McKeever and wife Kathryne; daughter, Mary Alice Herring and husband, Kevin; brother, John E. McKeever and wife, Delores; four grandchildren, Diana Michelle McKeever, Cody Zane McKeever, Stephen Daniel McKeever and Callie Layne Herring. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Laura Ann McKeever; one brother, Courtney Gilvert McKeever; and one sister, Lois Robinson.Visitation will be held from 7:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Monday, May 9, 2016 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Wilshire Baptist Church, 4316 Abrams Road, Dallas, TX 75214. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Lavon, TX.
