Brittany Garretson Thrash was born August 20, 1986, in Dallas, Texas. She passed away suddenly on October 9 in Miami, Florida at the age of 28 after suffering a stroke while on a cruise.
Brittany was a life-long resident of Rowlett, TX, graduating from Rowlett High School in 2004. She worked for Walgreens for over 10 years and had recently joined the CPA firm of Lambert & Lambert in Frisco after graduating with an accounting degree from Texas A&M - Commerce.
Brittany enjoyed singing, laughing and spending time with her family and friends. However, she experienced the most joy in life making a home with her husband Walter and their baby son, Nolan.
Brittany is preceded in death by her Paw-Paw Gilbert and Granny Laurine Levisay and her Granddaddy, Russ Garretson.
She is survived by her husband Walter and son Nolan; mother Susan Hatcher; father Doug Garretson & step-mother Stacey; sisters Melody Garretson and Natalie Garretson, and brother Zachary Garretson. She is also survived by her Grandmommy Jody Garretson, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday night, October 15, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Eastgate Funeral Home, 1910 Eastgate Dr, Garland, TX 75041. Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 16 at 10:00am.
There will be an opportunity to share brief stories and memories of Brittany during the service. Anyone who would like to speak will be welcome to do so.
