Brian Thomas McGriff

March 1, 1971 — August 7, 2019

Brian Thomas McGriff 48, of Mesquite, Texas entered into rest on August 7, 2019 in Plano, Texas. Brian was born on March 1,1971 to Jerry and Vickie.

Brain was a graduate from W. W. Samuell High School. Upon completion, he worked as a licensed plumber for Local Union #142 in San Antonio, Texas. After a few years in the trade, he decided to venture out on his own doing plumbing, painting and remodel work, landscaping and anything else that came his way. You could say he was a Jack-of-all-trades. Anything he was asked to do; he would figure it out and get it done.

Brian was so talented in so many ways and he loved to sing with his beautiful voice and often call his daughter, Savannah, and sing her a song. Brian did have some struggles in life, but he always managed to still try to be optimistic about his future even though he had many obstacles in his path. He had a loving soul and spirit and would be so honored to know that his organs saved the lives of four people. His liver, lungs and kidneys are living on in others, what a remarkable gift he gave. He was very much loved and will be missed by all.

Preceded in death by his Father, Jerry Don McGriff; Grandparents, Grover and Virginia McGriff and Hal and Johnnie Zumwalt; Uncles Dwight and Tommy McGriff. Brian is survived by his Mother, Vickie Thomas; Stepmother Marcy McGriff; Daughter, Savannah McGriff; Sisters, Stacy McGriff and Kimberly Kraberg- Buck; Stepbrothers, Duane and Steve Huddleston, Shane Taylor; Stepsisters, Stacie Johnson and Traci Browning; Nephew, Alexander McGriff and Nephew Joseph Serotko; Uncles, Paul, Mike and David McGriff; Niece, Christina Rodriguez; Great Niece Averi Serotko and Aunt Kay Hill, and the love of his life, Kim Pipps.
