Brewer Lucille McClendon

Brewer Lucille White McClendon, age 100 and long-time Garland resident, passed quietly into the presence of her Lord on February 9, 2013.

She was born in 1912 to Grover Benny White & Lillie McNutt White of VanZandt County, Texas. Brewer is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Daniel Cecil McClendon, her sister, Gladys Shamburger and her brothers, Bill and Mark White, and her grandchildren, Brenda Smith and Tim Sampson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ethel & Clyde Sampson of Nacogdoches, TX, her daughter Thelma Lovell of Garland, TX; grandchildren Sandra Sterling of Whitehouse, TX, Danny & Sharon Sampson of Kilgore, TX, Mark & Jan Lovell of Garland, TX, Walter "Skip" & Deborah Lovell of Garland, TX, Alan Lovell of Bonham, TX and David & Kelly Lovell of Olathe, KS; 23 great grandchildren and 32 great-great grandchildren.

Born and raised in East Texas, she married Daniel Cecil McClendon in 1928 and moved to the Dallas area where they raised their two daughters, Ethel and Thelma.

Brewer was as an active member of Eastfield Missionary Baptist Church, Mesquite, TX. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Eastgate Funeral Home located at 1910 Eastgate Drive, Garland, TX, 75041 immediately followed by interment at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 4118 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX, 75228.
