Bonnie Louise (Smith) Risley

Bonnie Louise Risley - Born May 2, 1921 – Died May 20, 2019

Bonnie was born Bonnie Louise Smith on May 2, 1921 in Kaufman County, the oldest child of William Marcus Smith and Beulah Mae Smith. Bonnie married Darel D Risley on May 8, 1947. Bonnie and Darel raised 6 children in a loving Godly home. During her 98 years Bonnie enjoyed quilting, reading but mostly talking to anyone and everyone she met.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 1 sister, husband Darel, daughter Doris Sims, son Leslie Risley, daughter in law, Pam Risley, son in law, Richard Wainscott, and granddaughter Joanna Sims. She is survived by her sister, Jean Adams of Garland, TX, daughter Barbara Reynolds and husband Bobby of Attalla, Alabama, son Darel W Risley of Ferris, TX, son Joe Risley and wife Lavonne of McNeil, Arkansas, daughter Sharon Wainscott of Garland, TX and daughter in law Peggy Risley of Quinlan, TX. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 10 plus two on the way great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 23, 6-8 pm at Eastgate Funeral Home, 1910 Eastgate Dr, Garland, TX 75041. The service will be Friday, May 24, 10 am also at Eastgate Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at Restland Memorial Park at approximately 11:45 am Friday.
