Bonnie Jean Sallee

February 6, 1958 — May 16, 2019

Bonnie Jean McDowell Sallee died at 12:44am on Thursday, May 16, 2019. She was born on February 6, 1958, where she was born in Stamford, Texas, to Eugene and Bonnie McDowell. She was the youngest of five McDowell children. Bonnie is survived by her son, Robert Houston Sallee (Stacie), and two grandchildren, Jadah Sallee and William Sallee. She is also survived by one brother, David McDowell (Linda); two sisters, Sharon Stanaland (Royce) and Judy Kenady; and many nieces and nephews with their children and grandchildren. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Bonnie McDowell; her oldest sister, Sandra Schuessler; and brother-in-law, Kenny Kenady.

Bonnie Jean was blessed with artistic abilities which she used to write poetry, make jewelry, create dream catchers, and other types of handwork. She was an avid collector of arrowheads; her favorite place to search for them was Double Mountain in Stonewall County, TX. Regardless of nature walks or thrift shops, she enjoyed searching for hidden treasures.

A multitude of family and friends have stood by Bonnie's side and we wish to thank each person for the support bestowed upon Bonnie during her lifetime. You were each an important facet in the gem of Bonnie's life. Memorial details to follow.
