Billy Edward McGee, age 83 of Garland, TX, passed away June 5, 2020, in Garland, TX. Bill was born on May 1, 1937, in Garland, TX to Frank and Tressie McGee.
After attending High School Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Parris Island, South Carolina. After his Honorable Discharge from the Marines Bill owned a plumbing/HVAC company and then worked for the City of Garland for over 20 years.
Bill is survived by his wife Chine-Yi; son David McGee; daughter Angela Atkins and husband Kenneth; brother JW McGee; stepson Tony Licona and wife Tiffany; and six grandchildren; Rachel, Morgan, August, Brantley, Austin, and Autumn. He was preceded in death by his sisters; Nancy York and Mae Austin; and brother Charles McGee. Bill was a loving husband and father and will be missed by all.
A graveside service will be at 10:00am on Friday, 6-12-20, at the Sachse Cemetery 6314 Sachse St., Sachse, TX 75048, with Reverend Lawrence Lu officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to the American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice, in Bill's name.
