In loving memory of Beverly Diann Wiecker

Beverly Diann Wiecker, aged 83, of Rosebud, TX, peacefully passed away on September 12, 2023, in Rockwall, TX surrounded by her family.  She was born on May 18, 1940, at the Heights Hospital in Houston, TX, to her loving parents, Frank Hooper and Agnes Hooper.

Diann is survived by her brother, Kenneth Hooper, and her three beloved sons and their families: Ronald Wiecker and his wife, Heidi, of The Woodlands, TX, who were blessed with three children, Shelby Wiecker Jenks (married to Aaron Jenks), Allison, and Seth; Richard Wiecker and his wife, Lauren, of Sugarland, TX; and Randy Wiecker and his wife, Melissa, of Heath, TX, with their three children Claire, Abby, and Katelyn.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Henry Hooper, and her dearly beloved husband, Wilboun Wiecker.

Diann's roots traced back to the Heights in Houston, where she attended Reagan High School. During her school years, she was an active member of the Red Coats and held the position of Tenor Drum Sergeant. After graduating from Reagan High School in 1958, she pursued higher education at Sam Houston State University, earning her Bachelor's degree in Education. It was during her time at Sam Houston that she met the love of her life, Wilboun Wiecker, through his best friend Wayne Schroeder. They would go on to unite in matrimony on June 23, 1962, at St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Houston, TX.

Diann's passion for education shone brightly as she embarked on her teaching career. She began her journey at East Bernard and later continued to inspire young minds in Needville. In 1976, Diann and Wilboun relocated their family to Rosebud, Texas, where she continued her dedication to helping elementary students with Reading/Dyslexia intervention.  Later on, her commitment led her to Belton, where she continued to make a significant impact on students' lives. In 2014, they decided to sell the family farm and move to Magnolia, TX, to be closer to their cherished grandchildren and sons.

During her retirement years, Diann enjoyed volunteering with the Bell County Aggie Mom’s club in which she served a term as President.  She also enjoyed crafting jewelry and traveling to trade shows with Wilboun and enjoying new friendships they made along the way.

Above all, Diann was a devoted wife, a loving mother that raised her three sons in a Christian home, and a treasured "MiMi" to six beautiful grandchildren who adored her immensely and will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
