Betty Sue Spraggins born April 2, 1933 in Douglasville, Texas to parents Thomas Augustus Nichols and Donie Lessie Sanders passed away on December 11, 2024 in Wylie, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Joseph Wayne Spraggins of Murphy, Texas, sister and brother in law Geraldine "Jeri" and Gerald Elkins of Bethesda, Maryland, son in law Ed McCullough Mount Enterprise, Texas.

She is survived by children; Cynthia McCullough of Mount Enterprise, Texas; Pam Reeb Berry of Murphy, Texas, Jack Reeb of Weatherford, Texas, 5 grand children, 12 great grand children and 10 great great grand children. 

Betty lived a life filled with radiating love, adventure, and self-discovery. The Betty smile that lit up the room. Never meeting a stranger she always strived to be the best, succeeding in business working with The Dallas Restaurant Association, assisting to create The Taste of Dallas, owning a secretarial service Preston Royal Secretarial Dallas, Texas. 3rd owner of Hunt Radio in Greenville, Texas transforming the old J C Penney's Warehouse in Farmersville, Texas into a Restaurant, "The Honey Pot". Residing in Murphy the last 16 years of her life serving on the City Council for 5 years, striving to improve her community. Betty loved her family, friends and dog, Traci, unconditionally. Betty adored the paramedics, police and firemen. Such a flirt, and joy to be around. 

We are truly going to miss that firecracker personality you always possessed.
