Betty Jean Rains

Betty Jean Rains was born in Haileyville, Alabama on May 5, 1937 to Joseph Hurst Teague and Vera Emma Hand and was the 6th of 7 children.  She went to be with the Lord on April 2nd, 2023, Palm Sunday.  

 

She retired after more than 20 years of service to Denton State School and Texas Women’s University and was known for her hard work and dedication.  

 

She is survived by 2 Sons, Mike and Greg Galloway,  6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

 

She was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church in Lake Dallas, Texas where she lived from 1978-2022.
