Betty Jean McKee

Betty Jean McKee, 73, of Wills Point, passed away February 29th, 2020, with her family beside her. She was born to the late Eugene and Betty Jo Hammonds, December 22nd, 1946 in McKinney.
She married Jim McKee in August of 1996 and they lived together in Lavon until relocating to Wills Point.
Betty Jean is survived by her husband, Jim McKee, her 3 children, 2 step children, and her 8 grandchildren. Although she left a huge void in our lives, she will be greatly cherished as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a favorite aunt and cousin to many.
She will be remembered for her strong love of family. Betty was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. As her children and grandchildren, we get happiness knowing that she was relaxed and peaceful at the end of life's journey in her country home with her husband.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 15th, 2020 at 2pm at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th St., Sachse. Graveside ceremony to follow at 3:30pm at the Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen.
