On Thursday, August 26th Heaven gained a new angel Betty Ann Donihoo, at 60 years of age, lost her battle to Cervical Cancer.
Betty was born December 12, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to Bert and Alice Cadenhead, both preceded her in death. She was also preceded by a grandson Zachary Kyle Donihoo. She grew up the 5th of 8 children in Dallas, Texas. She attended the Wilmer-Hutchins school district.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Donihoo of Caddo Mills, Texas and her children Samuel Aaron Spence of Addison, Stacey Diane Rodriguez of San Antonio, Kenny Lynn Donihoo of Josephine and Jeffery Wayne Donihoo of Plano. As well as her grandchildren Brian Allen, Trina Ann, Valarie Kay, Bryleigh Marie Allene, Christian Cole and Jeremy Andrew. She is also survived by 3 sisters - Diane Esner of Dallas, Texas; Dee Mize of Lake Fork, Texas and Carolyn Stealey of Fountain, Colorado; and 4 brothers - Bert Jr of Lake Fork, Texas; Gary of Cisco, Texas; Marvin of Mesquite, Texas and Andrew of Rowlett, Texas. And many, many nieces and nephews.
Betty had a loving heart and a kind soul to everyone she met. She loved the holidays, especially Halloween and dressing with co-workers and family. Christmas was a special time of celebration as well with family and friends. Betty loved babies and children, making them smile and laugh with her. Betty took her first airplane trip @ 58 years old, traveling to Colorado to surprise her younger sister. She worked at the Wylie Wal-Mart for over 20 years in many positions; meeting and making her some of her most treasured friends.
