Betty Evelyn Carnaghan

Betty Evelyn Carnaghan, beloved wife, mother and friend, age 81, of Mesquite, Texas, went to be with her Lord on April 16, 2014. She was born January 3, 1933, in Spring City, Tennessee, to James Robert and Daisy Ruth Day. Evelyn married Richard Carnaghan on October 10, 1950, in Tennessee.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Lydia Gowens and her husband, Jim and Patricia Kreider and her husband, David; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sisters, Stella and Hazel; and brother, Raymond.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dale Carnaghan; grandson, Thomas Kreider; and great-granddaughter, Harper Gowens.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Evelyn's life will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home Chapel.
