Betty Dugger Brown of McKinney, Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Medical City McKinney with family by her side. She was 86 years old.
Betty was born in McKinney, Texas on September 3, 1935 to Wylie B. Dugger and Massie Hays Dugger. After graduating from McKinney High School, she attended Abilene Christian University.
Betty married Donald Edward Brown in 1955 and they celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2015. They have two children, Mark Brown of Dallas, Texas, and Belinda Kennedy of McKinney, Texas. They also have four granddaughters, Daisy and Chloe Brown, and Caroline and Claire Kennedy.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of the church of Christ on McDermott Road in Plano, Texas, where she had been actively involved with the South Texas/Mexico mission.
She enjoyed gardening and traveling. One of her fondest family memories was taking summer road trips around Texas with her husband, children, and granddaughters. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the McDermott Road church of Christ South Texas/Mexico mission fund in memory of Betty Brown.
