Bettie Griffith

Bettie Frances Griffith beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend left this life entered heavenly, eternal rest on 10/07/2024 in Farmerville, Texas after long illness with Alzheimer's Disease.

Bettie was born in Greenville, Texas on 12/23/1944 to Ernest and Dorothy Roy.  She was the middle child, between Edward and Ellen Roy.

As a young woman she started working at Texas Instruments in Dallas and was introduced to Ervin Wyrick, whom she later married in 1968 and raised a family with in Garland, Texas where she a member of Broadway Church of Christ before moving Nevada, Texas in 1983 with their two children, Kerri and Kevin Wyrick. They remained married until Ervin's passing in 2010.

Bettie was remarried in 2011 to Dennis Griffith whom she and family had known for decades attending services at Farmersville Church of Christ where both have been regular and devoted members.  They loved to travel and make memories, go for walks, and the fellowship with other church members always doing their best to make others feel welcome.

Bettie was an exemplary mother and human being.  She embodied the best qualities of infinite and unconditional love and unending generosity.  She went above and beyond to make happy memories that will forever be cherished.  She equally loved being a grandmother, affectionally known as 
"Mimi" to her grandchildren, Landon, and Kinlee.  Bettie loved her entire family and extended family, as well as, her friends and fellow church members, which could always be seen in her daily approach to life.

Bettie is preceded in death by her husband Ervin Wyrick, mother and father, Ernest and Dorothy Roy, brother Edward Roy.  

She is survived by husband Dennis Griffith, daughter Kerry Wyrick, son Kevin Wyrick, grandson Landon Wyrick, granddaughter Kinlee Wyrick, sister Ellen Mize and stepsister Linda Corner and stepbrother Bill Walker.
