Bernita Carol McIntire

Bernita Carol Wallace McIntire was born April 19, 1942 in Anthony, Kansas, and died peacefully in her home in Royse City on October 5, 2024 at the age of 82.
She was proceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Billy Ray McIntire, her parents, James and Virginia Wallace, two brothers Larry Wallace and Gary Wallace, and son Kevin McIntire.
She is survived by son Jeff McIntire, son and daughter-in-law Craig and Maranna Pruitt, daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Mike Mccord, son and daughter-in-law David and Tammi Pruitt, brother Lyndel Wallace, sister Lila Gundy,
10 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and special friends. Bernita, also lovingly known as Grammie, could best be described as a beautiful, graceful lady with a quiet and gentle spirit. She handled every situation placed before her with grace, faith, Godly wisdom and love. She loved her family fiercely, but she loved her Savior more.
Most everything she said, pointed you to Jesus. Most everything she did proved that she really meant it.
Even in her recent days under the dark cloud of dementia, her love of the Lord was still in her heart to overflowing. The memory of many things had left her mind, but her knowledge of the goodness of God and the scriptures that were hidden in her heart never did. It was simply a part of her DNA. What a sweet example of the scripture that says “out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks”, and Grammie’s heart was full.
Visitation and service will be held at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home in Sachse, Texas on Saturday, October 12 with visitation at 9 AM followed by a celebration of life at 10 AM officiated by Pastor Josh Satterfield. Interment to follow at Sachse Cemetery.
