Benjamin Fox 82, of McKinney, Texas passed away on May 15, 2014 in McKinney. Mr. Fox was born in Luray, Virginia on May 12, 1932 to parents Sarah and Lloyd Fox. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Va. in 1953 and joined the U.S. Air Force and rose to the rank of Major. During his service he received the Distinguished Flying Cross with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters and an Air Force Commendation Medal
Mr. Fox is survived by his wife of 55 years Sharon Lowe Fox; daughter, Sheryl Lee Fox; granddaughters, Bailey Sheridan Brown and Madison Elizabeth Brown; sisters, Elsmar Cross, Sue Pullen; brother, Hunter Fox.
A visitation will be held at Charles Smith & Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas on Tuesday, May 20 at 10:00 am with a funeral service following at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
