Benancio Ponse Sr

Benancio Ponse Sr of McKinney, Texas passed away March 28, 2024, at the age of 67.Benancio was born on August 23, 1956, to Juan Ponse and Teodora Ponse of McKinney, Texas. Benancio was blessed with four children with former wife Saward Gough and lived in McKinney, Texas. Benancio was a loving son, father, friend, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. Benancio loved to dance, especially to Tejano music. 

He loved to spend time with family and friends. Benancio enjoyed sports, coin collecting, fishing, feeding animals, long walks and doing home improvements. Benancio will be missed dearly by those who know and love him. Benancio was survived by his girlfriend Rebecca “Becky” Case of Farmersville Texas, Son, Benancio Jr Ponse of McKinney Texas, Daughter Jo Anna Ponse Garcia and husband Jerry Garcia of Princeton Texas, Daughter Julie Ponse of Wylie Texas, and son Enrique “Henry” Ponse of Princeton Texas. Sister; Cande Hosey and husband Mike Hosey of Mckinney Texas,Sister; Aurelia Jones and Greg Jones of Mckinney Texas, Sister Nieves Zuniga and Francisco Zuniga of Mckinney Texas. Grandchildren; Destiny Jacot Ponse of McKinney Texas, Sierra Ponse of McKinney Texas, Savannah Garcia of Princeton Texas, Ramon Benancio Ponse III of McKinney Texas, Isaiah Ponse of McKinney Texas, Madison Garcia of McKinney Texas, Aliza Perez of McKinney Texas, Eric Perez of McKinney Texas, Joseph Perez of McKinney Texas, Jayson Spears of McKinney Texas, Brandon Perez of McKinney Texas, Isabella Olivarez of McKinney Texas, Santana Olivarez of McKinney Texas, Landon Ponse of McKinney Texas, Jacob Olivarez of McKinney Texas, and Rose Olivarez of McKinney Texas. Benancio also had many great grandchildren.

 Benancio will proceed his death by his father Juan Ponse, mother Theadora Ponse, brother Ramon Ponse, Uncle Francisco Ponse, and grandson Zachary Ponse.

A food gathering will be held at 4pm at Finch Park after his funeral services.
