Barbara Ann (Garner) Foster

Barbara Garner Foster, age 79, of Princeton, passed away on May 3, 2016 in McKinney, Texas.

Barbara was born in Perkinston, Mississippi to William (Bud) and Erma Garner on May 20, 1936. She graduated from Gulfport High School in 1954 and worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company until she married Franklin Foster in 1969. After moving to Texas in 1972, Barbara’s love for children was apparent as she spent the rest of her life volunteering or working with them in some capacity. Her friendly demeanor, unconditional love and commitment to her family and friends were just a few of the characteristics that made this beautiful woman so special.

Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, William (Dub) Garner and her granddaughter, Miranda Dugger as well as her parents. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Franklin Foster, and son, John Foster of Princeton; daughter Jody Pitcock and husband David of Sachse; Sister Phyllis Ammons of Gulfport, Ms; three grandchildren Sarah, Megan and Chelsea as well as a host of other family and friends.
