Arthur Eugene Shook

Arthur Eugene Shook, 66, of McKinney, TX, entered his heavenly residence on May 30, 2017 at Medical Center of McKinney surrounded by his family. He was born on March 29, 1951, in Houston, Texas, to Arthur (Tiny) Shook and Elizabeth (Kinser) Shook.Eugene was a very social and energetic individual. He joined the United States Navy immediately upon high school graduation in 1973. After his military service, he worked at A. O. Smith in Houston, Texas. He then became a commercial truck driver and continued until his stroke in 2005. Eugene's health continually declined following this stroke and he eventually became a resident at a McKinney nursing home in order to be near family.Eugene is survived by: histwin daughters ChristinaMarie Patterson of Conroe, TX, and Catherine Michelle Baird of Baytown, TX; his mother, ElizabethShook; his sister and brother-in-law,Judy and John Miers;andseveral grandchildren.Graveside services with military honorswillcommence at 10:30AMon Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas.
