Aretha Lynn Martin

Aretha Lynn Taylor Martin was born to the late Roy Boyette and Cheryl Ugwuanyi on July 26, 1963. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

She received Christ in 1985 under the leadership of Pastor Terry Heart. Afterwards, she joined Word of Life Christian Center for 10 years, where she served on the leadership team and where she was also employed.

In 1986, Aretha joined together in holy matrimony with Kenneth Martin, with whom she bore nine beautiful children. Where she then became a dedicated stay at home wife and mom.

Aretha leaves to cherish her memories her mother Cheryl, her children, Kisha Lopez (Benito), Christine Johnson (Brandon), Keith Martin (Marcella), Anthony Martin, Myisha Bailey (Navarro), Kenneth Martin, Tameka Reed (James), and Ida Martin. Two brothers: Christopher Harris, Gerald Harris and one sister, Alisha Kritzs, and a host of grandkids, family and friends.

Aretha is preceded in death by her father Roy Boyette, her brother Darryl Taylor, her son Kenneth Martin, and her granddaughter Ai'Jah Robinson.
